Summer Holiday + Nightwish Features

In My Life

Hello there! It's been a while since I updated my journal so now it could be a good time for some latest news. I've spent most of the spring studying literature and training taekwondo. My first year in uni is now behind and I managed to gather overall 45 academic credits – and my grades are not bad either. This spring I had also my first fights in Taekwondo's ranking division which means roughly longer fights and tougher opponents. I found the higher division challenging but also quite motivational. I really need to practise more if I wish to win fights and somehow it's suited to wake my willpower...
At this point I'm having a summer holiday – both from the school and taekwondo training. I've had a lot of things to do anyway. In the beginning of May I spent few days in Netherlands. Due to my short trip I hadn't time to visit many places but I had really good time in Keukenhof (the garden with all those tulips is simply amazing, you should've seen it). I also payed a short visit to Amsterdam and had a chance to admire the sights in canal cruise. Alltogether, the trip was fabulous and I'd have loved to stay there much longer...
At the moment I'm totally on a summer mood and I'm really looking forward to next few months since I have so many great things to do. Next week I'm attending Sauna Open Air Metal Festival in Tampere and I'm going to see Nightwish, Kamelot and Stratovarius playing live. I really can't wait to get in there!
In summer I'm also going to the annual Taekwondo Festival with a lot of frinds – it has always been such a fun event and I belive I'll enjoy it this year as well. The greatest thing of the summer is probably the trip to Turkey with my boyfriend, his brother and sister-in-law. We are going to stay in Alanya for two weeks in July and I expect a lot for the trip. We have talked about the joint holiday trip for couple of years now and finally it's penciling out.
So my summer is loaded with high expectations which hopefully will come true... Now I should go and read a textbook about the tendencies of literature. There's one more summer exam to go and then I'll be free from studies till the September.
