Another favourite character from a book - this time from David&Leigh Eddings' Polgara the Sorceress. I read the book for the first time when I was fourteen and I've been admiring it ever since...
I painted the dress and hair by myself, and had some problems with the fabric and shading... Any tips to make them look more realistic? I also have a feeling that there's something missing, but I can't put my finger on it. However, I hope you like this one! -- Want one? --- Gallery : [link] -->icon by angelishi heyy, looks good. ive got some advice which can maaybe help you. i had a think about what u said that 'theres something missing' and i reckon it would look alot better if you couldnt see the path going into the distance, but instead it faded into shadow. For the fabric, the folds and wrinkles in it need to be sharper and more random. and also the owl needs some darker shadows, especially the wing facing towards the right of the picture, that should be pretty dark
i love david eddings books too, theyre awesome She has got to be one of my favorite fantasy character ever! Very good illustration!
